Hardcover option and other news

Hey there, thanks for helping to create this book! We're so excited to get this made! After a few days off, our team has been hard at work on the text.
News:
1) We will have a hardcover upgrade option in the Backerkit. The upgrade will probably be around $10-15 CAD.
2) For the last two books we've used a printing house in Washington State. We'll likely stay with them, but in order to get a better price for the hardcovers we'll look here in Canada as well.
3) Kickstarter holds onto the project's funds for about 10 days or so and makes sure all the charges have gone through. We have to wait for this phase to complete before we can set up the Backerkit. The Backerkit will be sent to collect shipping info and lists all the add-ons.
4) We have also decided to include the two PC subclasses (cleric and paladin). However, we won't have maps, custom endsheets, or dice.
5) Editing the text is in full swing, the book is currently 140 pages and 43000 words. Once the editing is done, we'll reformat for our layout guru Gordon. Then he will get to work.
6) Every week we are playtesting the monsters and versions of the monsters with our West of the Wood group.
7) We're also working on descriptions for all the monsters with Travis Hanson. There will be full page illustrations for all the sins and virtues.

AMAZING! Thanks to everyone for helping to create this book! We're very excited to make the best book yet!
We have so many people to thank, and many of them worked behind the scenes! Perhaps after we rest up a bit we'll send out a shout out.
1) You've unlocked the first stretch goal to add a lot of extra art. Full page art for all the sins and virtues, and much more.
2) We've come close to the hardcover stretch goal. We'll look at options for this and let you know our plans.
3) We'll prepare the Backerkit over the next week or two and send it out to everyone. This will give you options for add-ons and helps to collect all the shipping info we need.
4) We've almost finished the text for the book. That will be handed over to Gordon McAlpin within a couple of weeks or so.
5) Descriptions of the monsters will soon get sent to Travis Hanson.

Hey everyone, thanks for coming on this journey. We've made two beautiful hardcover books in the last two years and want to make another for you! We're heading into the final 36 hours now!
There are a few ways we can create a hardcover version. We know everyone wants a hardcover book and we will work to do that. Right now we're focused on getting to stretch goal #2. We're not that far from stretch goal #1 right now. A solid 25% of our backers for Monsters of the Underworld came in the final 48 hours!
To help get the stretch goals we will be:
1) Reaching out again to all our followers on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook
3) Sharing all the art for the book we've commissioned so far
4) Encouraging everyone involved to share the project far and wide. Positive comments on the posts on all these sites would be greatly appreciated.

Close to being funded! Stretch goals next!

Thanks to everyone for their generous support. We're currently 96% funded and are really excited about making a great book for you!
Our stretch goals are still in reach. Monsters of the Underworld had an enormous last day of funding. The all-important 48-hour alert gets sent out tomorrow at 2000 PST. We have around 1000 people signed up for that.
Remember to check the add-on chart on the main Kickstarter page. More add-ons will be added during the Backerkit phase. After the Kickstarter phase we'll send a message to you to gather information and give you a big selection of extras to add to your pledge.
Currently we're working on finishing the text. The 100 monsters are finalized and we can't wait to turn everything over to Gordon McAlpin, the layout guru. Then Travis Hanson will receive descriptions for all the creatures for the illustrations. He gets a chance to put his stamp on things and sometimes convinces me to change something. This time these two artists will work in tandem and we're sure the layout will be much more dynamic. -Andrew Cawood
